Sullia is Town as well as taluk in Dakshina Kannada district of the state of Karnataka, India. It is a small and beautiful town, surrounded with evergreen wooded mountains and forests being a part of the Western Ghats range in South India. Sullia has plantations of rubber, areca nut, coconut, cashew nut, black pepper and banana, these are the main plantions of sulia peoples The majority of residents are Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Jains. The main languages of Sullia are Kannada, (Arebhashe) and Havyaka Kannada . Also Tulu, Konkani and Kodava languages are spoken.
The monsoon rains during the months of June to September. The spring season occurs during the month of November to January. During this season the local temperature ranges between 15°C to 25°C . The summer or dry season between the month of February to May.
