This temple is famous for "Thiruvathira Mahothsavam", the annual festival celebrated on the day of Thiruvathira in Malayalam month 'Makaram' (January/February) & "Kotta kayattam" held in connection with the annual festival. Palamuttathu Maha Devar & Maha Ganapathi Temple here is believed to large number of devotees. This Temple is located on the banks of River Achankovil.
