Madikeri Dasara Festival is one of the biggest celebration in Coorg. Madikeri situated in Coorg district of Karnataka state. This is the second largest desara festival after Mysore dasara. This Festival celebrating by the people for 10 days, which is celebrated in the month of September or October. there are 4 Tempels, that is Dandina Mariamma, Kanchi Kamakshi, Kundurumotte Sri Chowti Mariamma and Kote Mariamma, Each temple have karagas. These 4 Karagas represent the "Shakthi Devathas" of the town. The Temple Priests take the Karaga on their head after this pooja and head towards their Temples. Karaga dance is very nice to watch. The people of Madikeri give pooja for all the Karagas. Till Aayudha Pooja, these Karagas visit almost every home of Madikeri and take poojas.

The Madikeri Dasara Committee organises cultural programs all the 10 days. 7 days the programs happening at Kauveri Kalaskhetra in Madikeri. And another 3 days programs will be conducted in near to rajaseat, with all archestra facilities.
