Hence, this place is called Kailasanatha kona which is a picnic, scenic and pituresque spot. Kailasanatha Kona waterfalls are situated in the gorge of Nilgiri Hills near Puttur. It is a natural waterfall, located at a distance of 43 km and 15 km from Tirupati and Puttur respectively. This perpetual waterfall originates from a stream in the rock. Kailasanatha Kona waterfalls are wonderful tourist site, which shares the presence of a small temple of Shiva & Parvati beside it. The water is rich in minerals and has great medicinal value.
